As graduation nears (May 2023), I have started to think about what life will look like after college. I have never felt such uncertainty before. Finding a job? Moving to a new city? Possibly moving to a new country? Everything seems so overwhelming at this point. College is by far one of the best experiences in life. You get so comfortable living in a bubble, partying, and hanging out with friends that you feel somber once the end approaches. As I have been interviewing for jobs, I realized that college teaches you a lot – but doesn't teach you what exactly you want to do. You have to fake it till you make it and wing it until you explore the real world.

Now let's talk about graduate school. As exciting as a graduate program sounds, I don't just want to go because I'm unsure about my next step. After I graduate, I hope to keep the structure of my life intact. Many of my friends who are college graduates have mentioned to me how one remains structured because of staying in college. Spending time on a hobby, hanging out with friends, and making new friends will be one of my priorities after college. I also can't emphasize enough the importance of informational interviews with people in fields that interest us.

Whatever it is, I'll be fine – and so will all of you. You'll be surprised when you realize the number of skills you have gained during college. Not only that, but we all have grasped invaluable life lessons. We all had to assimilate into college life, irrespective of where we are from – and now it's crazy to think we are nearly done. There is no denying that the hardships all of us have encountered in the past will help us succeed in the future.

I'm sure whatever you are in store for after graduation youll be very successful at!
Great post, I can't believe we all are beginning a new chapter in our life so soon. Best of luck!
Nice post! This was super insightful. I can contest to the fact that I have definitely grasped some invaluable life lessons through my years here at UT. College life will teach you those lessons like no other! It really is crazy to think that we are basically done after 4 years have flown by. Excited to see the road ahead for you, Sumiar!
